Correction Factors for Use in Error Analysis of Quantization Error Limited Data Systems.

Abstract

A correct method of combining errors in a quantization error limited data system is discussed. A convenient nomograph tool for using the method is presented. An example is presented which compares the errors obtained by the conventional rss method and the corrected method. For a three sigma sample point error criterion, the rss method is shown to be grossly misleading. (Author)
