Digital Address Thin Display Tube.
Abstract
The report describes the progress which occurred during the third quarter of a Research and Development contract to develop a 32x52 resolution element digital-address, thin display tube for a man-pack radar. During the quarter the parametric tradeoff study was continued, a low-power area-cathode was fabricated and tested, dynode substrates were received, and the design of low-power driving circuitry was continued. A modification in the order in which the resolution elements are scanned is discussed, test results of the low-power area-cathode are presented, and a detailed analysis of the power requirements for the display electronics is presented.
