Results of Field Use of the 'Kvarts' Pulsed-Light Range Finder (Rezultaty Proiizvodstvennogo Primeneniya Svetodalnomera 'Kvarts'),

Abstract

During 1968 a 'Kvarts' pulsed-light range finder was used in field work in the Arctic Circle. This instrument, which is now in standard production, evidently will replace similar range finders which have been used in the past. An indication of the great efficiency of this instrument is that during the 1967 field season the instrument made it possible to measure 14 sides, whereas in the preceding year only 12 sides could be measured with 3 EOD-1 range finders.
