Electromagnetic and Finite Beta sub e Effects on the Counterstreaming Ion Instability.

Abstract

It was found theoretically and by computer simulation that finite electron beta sub e simply enlarges the region of instability of ions counterstreaming across a magnetic field while the rest of the linear and nonlinear theory remains unchanged. (Author)
