Computer Generated Depth-Pressure Conversion Tables.
Abstract
The tables are needed to provide a simplified method for converting depth in feet of sea water to other depth and pressure units. A computer program was written for the calculation and printing of selected depth and pressure units from 0 to 2999 feet of sea water. Conversion tables presented are depth in feet of sea water, depth in meters, depth in fathoms, atmospheres absolute, pounds per square inch absolute, millimeters of mercury absolute, inches of mercury absolute, bars absolute, kilograms per square centimeter absolute, equivalent depth in feet of fresh water, equivalent pounds per square inch of fresh water absolute.
