The Thermoelectric Effect of Silver Iodide.

Abstract

Analysis of the thermoelectric effect of silver iodide has shown that one is dealing with a thermo-mechanical-electrical effect. A thermodynamic expression for the thermoelectric power was modified to include material parameters such as the impurity ion concentration and the negative thermal expansion coefficient of silver iodide. The equation permitted computation of the thermoelectric power as a function of impurity ion concentration and temperature from 0 to 140 degrees C. (Author)
