Uniqueness of Shock Reflection Patterns in Elastic Solids,

Abstract

An oblique shock wave incident upon a plane boundary of a non-linear simple elastic solid is shown to give rise to a unique reflection pattern if the angle of incidence is less than the critical angle. (Author)
