Coordination Between the Anticyclogenesis in Subtropical Zones of North and South Pacific Oceans (O Sopryazhennosti Antitsklogeneza v Subtropicheskikh Poyasakh Severnoi i Yuzhnoi Chastei Tikhogo Okeana),

Abstract

The relation between the anticyclogenesis in North and South subtropical zones of the Pacific studied. In the central anticyclonic areas, remote from the continents the frequency of simultaneous presence or lack of anticyclones exceeds considerably 50% (up to 70%). In the areas adjacent to continents and situated opposite one another the anticyclogenesis seems to occur in both hemispheres quite independently, that follows from the fact of simultaneous anticyclone presence or lack frequency being about 50%.
