On the Method of Constructing the Mohorovicic Surface (K Voprosu o Metodike Postroeniya Poverkhnosti Mokhorovichicha),
Abstract
It is known that the depth of occurrence of the Mohorovicic discontinuity affects considerably the regional gravity field Delta g(reg). There are many works dedicated to the problems of how to separate such a field from the effects determined by the density boundaries lying near the exposed surface, the heterogeneities of the folded crystalline basement, the sedimentary cover, etc. Nevertheless, this problem remains controversial and required a further special study. In the present work, the field Delta g(reg) calculated for a 45 km height was assumed as a regional field 'refined' from the indicated 'disturbances'. (Author)
