Method of Meridional Scanning of a Monitored Sphere,

Abstract

The method of meridional scanning of a monitored sphere with respect to a sensing element which is fixed in space with the use of driving and driven heads which have support rollers and consisting in the fact that the monitored sphere is installed on the roller of the driving head and adjusted by the roller of the driven head is distinguished by the fact that in order to increase monitoring accuracy both heads, along with the monitored sphere, rotate at an identical speed and simultaneously rotate this sphere at a speed which is less than the rotation speed of the indicated heads.
