Asymptotic Theory of Nonlinear Wave Motions in Magnetohydrodynamics. Part II. Internal Waves.

Abstract

Asymptotic nonlinear wave motions of a conducting fluid confined between two fixed horizontal planes are studied. Wave speeds and evolution equations, which depend upon the direction of wave propagation, are determined. An exceptional case is considered to illustrate the asymptotic method. (Author)
