Factor Analyses of Least Preferred Co-Worker Scales.

Abstract

The paper presents separate factor anlyses of the least preferred co-worker scales based on the responses of 114 Internal Revenue Service Tax Examiners, 147 U.S. Marines and 180 English managers. A comparison of the factor structures of the U.S. samples revealed more similarities than differences despite the diverse nature of the respondents. Although a comparison between the U.K. sample and the U.S. samples revealed similarities in the factor structures, these were not as great as those which emerged within the U.S. samples. This information suggests that cross cultural applications of the LPC instrument must be examined carefully for conceptual as well as semantic differences. (Author)
