The DON Project: Policy Relevance and Overview.

Abstract

The Dimensionality of Nations Project (DON) is basic research on international relations attempting to determine the major patterns in the behavior and characteristics of nations and the linkage between these patterns. As with all basic research, that of the DON Project is potentially relevant to practical problems. In this case, the practical problems have to do with the nature and direction of international relations. The paper is divided into two sections. The first discusses the relationship of DON to foreign and defense policies; the second section gives a brief overview of the project itself. (Author)
