An Interpretation of the Chemical Effect on the Aluminum and Oxygen X-ray K-Emission Bands from Hydrated Aluminas.

Abstract

Shifts in the Al K-beta and O K-alpha x-ray emission bands from alpha and gamma-alumina and four hydrated aluminas are interpreted in terms of the relative degree of ionicity of the bonding and the relative strength of the hydrogen bonding in these compounds. (Author)
