Primary Irritation Evaluation Program. Study Numbers 33-124-71, 33-125-71 and 33-126-71, April 1971.

Abstract

Candidate repellents were evaluated on New Zealand white rabbits for their potential to cause skin and eye irritation. This evaluation was used as a basis for making the following recommendations concerning their use on humans. ENT-34468 should be used with caution around the eyes. There is no restriction for acute application to the human skin. ENT-70310 and ENT-70332 should be used with caution around the eyes and mucosa. There is no restriction for acute application to the human skin. These compounds should be resubmitted in the form and at the concentration of the intended use so that their eye irritation potential can be re-examined. (Author)
