VLF/LF Antennas and Waves in Liquid and Solid Media.

Abstract

In the present report some considerations have been made regarding the calibration of ferrite antennas. It has thus proved possible to make calibrations even in the extreme near field of the transmitting coil. Optimum noise matching of the ferrite antenna to the antenna preamplifier via a transformer is calculated. For determining the electric rock parameters, a new and improved method by wave propagation is suggested. The studies on the helical antennas and on the phase synchronization measuring device are being continued. The intermediate results are given in the present report. The geophysical section is concerned with producing and measuring samples of definite properties and with some theoretical considerations on rock parameters. (Author)
