Evaluation Program for Secondary Spacecraft Cells. Acceptance Test of Eagle-Picher Industries, Inc. 6.0 Ampere-Hour Nickel-Cadmium Cells,

Abstract

The purpose of the acceptance test was to provide a 'base line' reference, prior to life cycling, for new cells. It also provides a screening against cells that are obviously bad due to internal shorts, ability to withstand long periods of overcharge, and internal resistance measurements, all cells complete the entire series of tests. Twenty Eagle-Picher 6.0 ampere-hour nickel-cadmium secondary spacecraft cells with auxiliary electrodes were tested. (Author)
