Magnetic Tape Study.

Abstract

The magnetic tape study is a continuation of a contract investigation. In that contract one made a study of the characteristics of magnetic tape which affect the quality of recordings. It is recommended that further investigation be carried out in five categories which have not been investigated sufficiently by the tape manufacturers and tape users. They include the characteristics believed to be the dominant causes of errors in tape recorded data. (Author)
