Prediction of Coupling4 Shielding, and Grounds for Low-Frequency Fields.

Abstract

An extensive review is made of formulas available in the literature for use in the prediction of electromagnetic interference in electronic systems. The theory of coupling, shielding, and grounding of cables, particularly at low frequencies, is presented along with charts that have been developed to aid in quick prediction of interference problems. The goal of the report is a compilation of sufficient background on this subject to permit a useful computer program to be developed for predicting interference problems in extensive electronic systems.
