Turbidity Measurements of Solubilized Human Erythrocyte Membranes.

Abstract

After solubilization in SDS, erythrocyte membrane proteins undergo secondary structural changes as measured by light scattering techniques. The degree of change was an inverse function of the length of previous in vitro storage, and may be related to the loss in deformability observed microscopically in stored erythrocytes. (Author)
