Accurate Position Measurements in the 1720 MHz Line of OH,

Abstract

Positions accurate to plus or minus 10 secs were measured with the Owens Valley interferometer for seven sources in the 1720 MHz line of OH. These included three Class I sources (W3, W49, and W51) and four Class IIa sources (W28(A1), W44, ON-3, and Glll.5+0.8). ON-3 was found to lie close to component C of the complex radio source near NGC 6857, instead of near component A (the unusual nebula K3-50). The satellite line position coincided with a main line position for the Class I sources. (Author)
