Practical Aerodynamics and Aircraft,

Abstract

The monograph is written primarily as an aid to pilots and is divided into three main sections. Part I concerns aerodynamic and flight characteristics of supersonic aircraft, with information on the aerodynamics of supersonic velocities and characteristics of the aerodynamic layout and piloting of supersonic aircraft in takeoff and landing stability and controllability at different flight regimes. Part II deals with the future development of piloted aircraft giving the basic flight-tactical characteristics of piloted aircraft. Part III involves the basic concepts concerning the motion of spacecraft in the gravitational field of planets. (Author)
