Forecasting Scientific and Technical Progress

Abstract

The article seeks to analyze the relation between an increase in the level of industrial knowledge and an increase in the productivity of labor. By means of formulas and graphs, it attempts to determine that portion of the increase in production funds which should be expended on the improvement of industrial knowledge. Comparisons with similar expenditures in non-communist countries are made. The ultimate goal is the development of an analytical tool for forecasting industrial growth.
