About Gradation Characteristics of Black-and-White Image During Optical Printing,

Abstract

Requirements have been formulated for the basic indexes of gradation characteristics of a duplicate of the 35-mm usual variant of wide screen film. Gradation characteristics are obtained of image obtained by optical printing under conditions of illumination of film negative by directed light; by optical printing under conditions of illumination of film negative by scattered light; and by contact printing. The possibility is indicated of the approach of gradation characteristics of images obtained with optical printing under conditions of illumination of negative by scattered light and with contact printing.
