Research in Ferromagnetics: Domain Tip Propagation Devices.

Abstract

The effect of nuclear radiation on domain tip (DOT) film elements was investigated. Experiments showed that DOT films are not affected by fast neutron fluxes up to at least 10 to the 14th power n/sq cm which is the maximum dosage considered. DOT inductive readout was studied and the dependence of signal amplitude and width on channel width and pickup loop geometry established. A new diode shift register propagation technique is described and results of studies of diode element and domain stability presented. (Author)
