Technique of Shaping High-Voltage Nanosecond Pulses

Abstract

The monograph is the first attempt at a systematic presentation of material on the technique of shaping high-voltage manosecond pulses. A considerable portion of the book is made up of the authors' works started at the high-voltage laboratory of Tomsk Polytechnic Institute in 1957 on the initiative of the Doctor of Physicomathematical Sciences Professor A. A. Vovob'yov. Description of devices for obtaining and converting the high-voltage nanosecond pulses is preceded by an analysis of the basic processes taking place in a spark with account taken of Weizel and Rompe theories and of the theory of streamer discharge and transient processes in a discharge circuit.
