Electrodiffusion Wear of Tools and How to Combat It,

Abstract

The book is devoted to the problem of the effect of thermoelectric currents, which arise during the processing of metals by cutting, on the durability of cutting tools. The author tells about the results of numerous experiments which provide a clear impression of the mechanism of the influence of thermoelectric currents on the war of tools. It describes the devices for various machines as well as the design of the glued tools, the layer of glue of which impedes the effect of the thermoelectric currents. Results of the research conducted by the author on various glues are presented and the technology of gluing machine-tool devices and parts of machine-tool devices and parts of machine tools with an elastometer of brand GEN-150 is described. The author advances his hypothesis about electrodiffusion wear during cutting and rubbing.
