On the Budget Decrement Problem.

Abstract

A model for dealing with the Army budget decrement problem is proposed. A simple algorithm is developed based on the assumption that the original allocation is optimal. Kuhn-Tucker theory in non-linear programming is used to show that this algorithm reaches the revised optimal solution in a finite number of iterations. (Author)
