Orbit Improvement Program Verification of the Accuracy of the Orbit Parameter Variances.

Abstract

The results of a project of validate estimates of probable errors of improved orbit parameters resulting from pure noise in the observations are given in this report. These results show that at the 5% level of significance the probable errors of the orbit parameters corresponding to a given noise level in the observations are not significantly larger than those computed by the orbit improvement program.
