A New Method for Finding Station Prediction Alerts.

Abstract

The paper gives a new method for finding the times at which a satellite will be visible at a ground station. The method is based on a mathematical technique for finding the real roots of a continuous function representing the height of the satellite above the plane tangent to the earth at the station.
