Preliminary Geodetic Parameters Based on Doppler Observations of Anna and Transit Satellites.

Abstract

Fifteen gravity parameters and geocentric coordinates for 15 stations were determined by special perturbation theory on the basis of doppler observations made during a 28 day time span for the ANNA 1B satellite, a 14 day time span for the Transit 4A satellite, and a 14 day span for the Transit 4B satellite. Additional parameters of the solution included four sets of orbit and drag parameters for the ANNA satellite, two sets of such parameters for each of the Transit satellites and a frequency and frequency drift parameter for each pass of the satellites over each station.
