Three-Dimensional Elasto-Static Problems Using Isoparametric Finite Elements.

Abstract

The objective of the project described in this report was to develop a computer system which would generate the required input data for a structural analysis of three-dimensional elasto-static problems using isoparametric finite elements. Element connectivity, nodal point coordinates, consistent gravity loads, and consistent pressure loads are generated. A variety of algorithms are used in the system to reduce the amount of input data required. The computer system and a sample problem are discussed. (Author)
