Digital Control Computers with Switchable Logic,
Abstract
The article deals with construction principles of computers for process control whose arithmetic units can be operated in both incremental and arithmetical fashions. A method is given for sharing the tasks between these two modes of operation in an optimal way in the sense of the shortest computation time required. Three different constructions of computers with this property are discussed. (Author)
