Analysis of Software Systems for Specialized Computers,

Abstract

Questions of the effective organization of the computation process in a computer are becoming ever increasingly significant. This article discusses problems arising during the preliminary stage of solving the problem of seeking the optimum form for organizing the computation process (within the computer) with given computer hardware and software. The object of study is the software system of a computer, designed for solving a fixed complex of problems S = (S1, S2, ..., SR). The requirements (initial data) imposed on the solution of these problems are fed periodically to the computer. The nature of the requirement flow is known when designing the system whose effective operational organization requires rather complete analysis of it. The purpose of the analysis is to find parameters that characterize the system and its elements during operation, i.e., when servicing the given requirement flow. (Author)
