The Problem of Reliability of Automatically Designed Computers, 1,

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the subject of reliable synthesis in automatic designing of digital machines according to methods being developed by the Department of Computer Theory of the Institute of Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. It consists of two parts. The first containing a statement of the problem and a survey of structural and informational methods of introducing redundancy. The second part contains specific recommendations for using methods of redundancy. Those methods which are dealt with in detail are the Neumann and the Moore-Shannon method. (Author)
