Theory of Mechanisms and Machines (Theory, Example, Graphical Operations),

Abstract

Two-dimensional mechanisms are investigated. In connection with this, among the mechanisms with lower kinematic couples only the mechanisms with the simplest structural Assur groups are given. Therefore, the classification of the structural groups and the corresponding classification of the mechanisms are presented in a somewhat simplified form. The structural groups with two components are referred to as Class 1, with four components as Class 2, etc. The mechanisms also are referred to by the corresponding classes. Mechanisms without structural groups which consist only of a driving component are referred to as mechanisms of the zero class. (Author)
