The Transmission of Light-Shadow Contrasts during Telecine Projection,

Abstract

Analyzed are the processes of black-and-white films production and electro-optical transformation in telecine equipment from the viewpoint of transmission of light-shadow contrast. Determined are average through characteristics of negative-positive process and optimum characteristics of gamma-corrector for telecine channel. Established are conditions for optimum contrast transmission by means of maintaining the permanency of the signal level by the face reference. (Author)
