Simulating a Page of Text,

Abstract

The ordinary means of simulating the algorithms of recognition and of education for recognition in a computer is by inputting manually or with the aid of coding equipment a certain examining verifying sequence of signs, classified by the machine. Subsequent manual collation of the examining sequence from that obtained as a result of recognition allows an evaluation of the efficiency of the work of the algorithm, and allows computing of the reliability of recognition. Such a procedure is described.
