Capabilities of Electronic Computers of the 'Minsk' and 'Ural' Type When Used in Control Systems,

Abstract

The basic requirements for computers designed for operations with control automation systems are formulated. It is shown that for large systems it is often necessary to install two or more computers to achieve the required efficiency. Such computers must be of the same type. For data processing in automatic control systems the most widely used computers are the Minsk-22 and Ural-14. Analytical data for these computers show that neither computer fully satisfies control system requirements. (Author)
