An Antifriction Lubricant for Plastics,

Abstract

The invention concerns a plastics lubricant used in ship-building in particular, during the launching of ships from a sloping building slip, using the antifriction 'PM' plastics in place of mineral grease. In order to prevent sticking of the launching slides to 'PM' plastic sheets during prolonged contact, and to ensure a low static friction coefficient, it is suggested that lithium oleate and glycerine be included to the lubricant composition.
