Friction Bearing,

Abstract

The proposed bearing is distinguished from the known types by the fact that one of the races has a bearing support made in the form of rolling bodies, with choked openings for supply of the working medium under pressure under the rolling body. The socket supports on the input of the rolling bodies have a variable-profile cross section and the depth of the supports is more than half the diameter of the rolling bodies. This construction raises the effectiveness of the bearings when there are significant errors in the connection of their parts with the rotating portions of machines; it also reduces perturbing forces which cause noise and vibrations and insures automatic adjustment of pressure on the rolling bodies.
