Axial Multistage Bearing,

Abstract

The axial multi stage bearing consists of a casing, races, outer floating rings, rockers and inner rings attached to a shaft with the aid of spacers. In order to provide greater resistance to vibration, abrasion and shock with large temperature changes and volatile media, the bearing incorporates resilient elements with high temperature and chemical resistance located in slots in the race with radial clearance. The outer floating rings and inner rings are made from metal ceramic and other alloys with low shock resistance e.g. tungsten or cobalt carbide, and compounds of chrome, boron, titanium and other metals and their carbides and borides.
