The Problem of the Reliability Design of Redundant Logic Systems,

Abstract

A general mathematical model of logic systems with redundancy is analyzed, and a method of evaluating these systems is proposed. A semi-Markov process is designed which describes the operation of a redundant system with reducibility of the elements which have malfunctioned, and some of the quantitative reliability characteristics of this system are determined. The coefficient of readiness is the main quantitative reliability characteristic of a system with reducibility. Formulas for calculating the coefficient of readiness are given. (Author)
