Organosilicon Antifoaming Agent for Aqueous Media,

Abstract

A method is proposed for preparing a highly effective antifoaming composition which not only destroys foam quickly, but (in destinction from other foam suppressants) possesses a prolonged foam-preventing effect. This composition consists of 20-60% polyorganosiloxane, in particular aluminum polysiloxane with a Al:Si ratio of 1:10000 to 1:100 (preferably 1:300), 1.5-5% emulsifier-stabilizer, and 35-78.5% water.
