Spectral Degree of Blackness for Certain Refractories at High Temperatures,

Abstract

Values of spectral degree of blackness are established for given refractories at temperatures lying between 1600-3000 degrees K. It is established that the spectral degree of blackness varies with temperature. Character of the variation strongly depends on the nature of a refractory. Values of spectral degree of blackness depend on composition, structure and surface cleaning of radiating material. The established results are compared with the results of other authors. (Author)
