Detergent Additive for Lubricating Oils,

Abstract

The Russian patent pertains to a method of producing additives for lubricating oils. A method is known for producing an antiwear additive for lubricating oils by processing phenols with phosphorus oxychloride, phosphoric acid esters are obtained. In order to give the additive detergent properties, it is proposed that the phosphoric acid esters be hydrolyzed, processed with phosphorus pentoxide, and neutralized. With this, metal pyrophosphate diesters (DPFM) are obtained with a given general formula. (Author)
