Prophylaxis of Acute Radiation Illness in Experiments,

Abstract

The book deals with one of the most urgent problems of medical radiology, protection of the organism of man and animals against radiation. It presents a generalization of experiments on the prophylaxis of radiation sickness and a summary of the results of many years of research. The book states the most widespread theoretical ideas on which the search for antiradiation means and also the physiological hypothesis of the action mechanism of radio-protectors proposed by the author are based. Data are cited on the influence of antiradiation means on the organism, important for pharmacology and toxicology of radio-protectors. (Author)
