Test and Evaluation of MK 470 Container for Sparrow III Missile with Modified Wings and Fins

Abstract

To insure that the MK 470 MOD O Container provides adequate and secure storage space for a complete set of four modified wings and four modified fins, a series of rough-handling tests was conducted by the Naval Weapons Handling Laboratory. The test results show that the MK 470 MOD O Container has satisfactory stowage capabilities for the modified wings and fins of the NATO SPARROW 3 Missile.
