Interface Message Processors for the ARPA Computer Network

Abstract

The Quarterly Technical Report, No. 10, describes aspects of the work on the ARPA Computer Network during the second quarter of 1971. Efforts during this period were devoted primarily, though not exclusively, to the Terminal IMP. The quarter saw the ARPA Network remain stable in size; the opportunity was used to study traffic in the net, to plan and implement improvements in the operation of the Network Control Center at BBN, to discover and correct some minor bugs in the operational IMP hardware and software, and to continue investigation of routing problems.
