Measurement of the Electron-Deutron Inelastic Scattering Cross Section at Momentum Transfer of 0.5 Fermi Superscript(-2).

Abstract

Measurement of the inelastic electron-deuteron scattering cross section was made at a momentum transfer of 0.5 Fermi superscript(-2) (q squared = 0.5F superscript(-2)) and for the scattering angles of 120 degrees, 135 degrees, and 150 degrees. As a result the transverse and longitudinal parts of the cross section could be separated. The spectrum cross sections measured also showed an indentation or 'dip' which will require further study.
